Ending Racism Indonesia Towards Papua
It has been 72 years independent
of Indonesia.No more colonialism.Where this country want to go and grow it’s
already in the hand of Indonesia it self.
According to data of UN 2017
coinced with confrence in New York,USA,Indonesia has 16.056 islands that’s what
we called archipelago country.All of the islands have been allied in one nation
for 72 years because have same background,same history,and we tied with
Pancasila and Bhineka Tunggal Ika.
The variety of
languages,religions,cultures, and ethnics, we don’t have to ask it twice to
Indonesia.Moreover,UNESCO has set that 20% of languages in the world centered
in Papua,Indonesia.One of province that located in east of Indonesia.
Papua,a province that has been
contributed for his nation with all of the natural sources and human
resources.Partially of Indonesia foreign exchange sourced from tourism resort
in Papua.The other one is a gold mine company,Freeport.A company that has big
influence to economic of Indonesia.I do believe that everyone know Freeport.
Unfortunately,with all of the
contributed from Papua to Indonesia they don’t get same respond from the
goverment.The goverment still hard to put Papua to their priority in this
nation.No thankful.Only discrimination and racism they got.Some ethnics look
Papua like they are foreign people,not part of Indonesia.
Did you still remember with an
incident in Yogyakarta two years ago?in 14th July 2016,all the native students
of Papua were under siege in Papua Hostel by police.After investigated the
reason why they were under siege simple because the difference between Javanese
and Papua.In their mindset,Papua is only bring trouble to their home.They
think,there’s no advantages from Papua to them.Evidently,the 10th Sri Sultan
Hamengkubuwono supported the distinction.
In the city of Yogyakarta
itself,there are so many racism acts to students from Papua.It looks from the
notice board on stalls and some lodging that refuse them.
Racism to people of Papua is not
a new case that goverment should face.This is an old case about racism,but our
nation kepp this case going on.Tribes that considered superior will control
another tribes including,Papua.Is it still hard to do the fifth sila in
Pancasaila or “impossible”?
Scolding and refusing or any
kinds of racism to Papua raised up because there’s no tolerance and sympathy to
our family from Papua.An action to control and dominate the native people of
Papua will continue to appear if we just do nothing.Maybe genocide can be
happen in Indonesia.
How to solve this problem?I have
three solutions to solve this problem;
1)
Protect And Enforce
Justice to Every Single Person in
Indonesia
It is intended to reduce the number of racist act of
Papua.They have their own freedom,they have rights to grow and live together in
Indonesia without any racism to them.
2)
Provide and Fasilitate
Formal Education in Papua Especially for The Remote Area
The case that happened in Yogyakarta two years ago tell
us that education in Papua still not get good quality.7000 students of native
Papua in there should get same education in their province.If the goverment can
fix this problem the human sources of Papua will have better quality and can
give same contributed to their province and nation.
3)
Provide An Understanding
of The Noble Values of Pancasila
With the same history and backgound about colonialism.We
are united with Papua since 1945.The motto “Bhineka Tunggal Ika” be the power
of togetherness in Indonesia.We have to introduce and share our culture,such as
our national song to them and tell to them that there’s no racism in our
ideology.Racism never be our culture in Indonesia.
Papua is one of the most
important part of Indonesia.Not because the natural sources or tourism
resort,but because we have faced the colonialism together.We have same
background,we have same mission and vision to make Indonesia’s dream can be
true.We are Papua.We are Pancasila.Rasicm is not Indonesia.We are Indonesia.
